3-D analysis of electron beam shape at target plane through parametric variation of an indirectly heated cathode-based electron gun

Abstract In this paper, a detailed 3-D analysis of the electron beam shape at target plane high power (60 kW, 60 kV, 1 A) 270 0 -bent indirectly heated cathode-based gun has been successfully carried out. This work will help analyse individual trajectories in actual to ensure optimum bending and focusing plane. Moreover, due presence an additional electrode i.e., filament which is resistively solid cathode (heated through bombardment), becomes even more imperative. The out paper better performance, characterization, optimization gun. Rigorous simulation by performing electrostatic, electromagnetic, particle tracking simulations using CST Studio Particle Tracking Module. Adaptive mesh refinement utilized accuracy results obtained.
